This image shows an original label from a Zyklon B canister dating back to the Nazi era and World War II.

The text indicates it was produced by I.G. Farbenindustrie and Kaliwerke A.G., Kolin (a production site in occupied Bohemia).
Initially developed as a highly toxic cyanide-based pesticide for delousing, Zyklon B was repurposed by the Nazi regime as a weapon for systematic mass murder during the Holocaust, primarily in the gas chambers of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Authentic labels and canisters from this era are exclusively rare. Toward the end of the war, the SS systematically destroyed chemical supplies and related documentation to cover up their crimes. Remaining stocks were later neutralized and destroyed by Allied forces for public safety.
Nearly all surviving genuine specimens are kept strictly within state archives, judicial evidence collections from post-war trials, or major historical institutions like the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and the German Historical Museum.
