From Kansas, sent by airmail to New York (transit postmark on August 15, 1928) on board the ship "Ile de France" (Printed text on the front "VIA S.S. ILE de FRANCE and Airplane ship to Shore"), with subsequent dispatch by catapult mail

1929 (22 Jul) Cover catapult mail from the ship "Bremen" to East Orange, N.J. (USA) franked with stamps 5pf (airmail), 10pf, 60pf (Germany), with a special postmark from the post office of the ship "Bremen" in English and German, and 2c (USA) canceled postmark Newark, N.J. on the reverse (the stamp was attached already in the USA). On July 22, 1929 was sent by catapult mail to New York, black oval cached "Erster Deutscher Katapultflug (first German catapult flight) Bremen–New York"
