1930 (16 Sep) Cover of catapult mail from New York (USA) to Friedrichshafen (Germany) on the ship "Europa". Franked with a 20c air stamp (USA), canceled by the New York postmark. September 21, 1930 was sent by catapult mail to Southampton, red cached on the "Mit Katapultflug," meaning "with catapult flight." And postmark "1 Deutscher Katapultflug" (1 German catapult flight) D. "Europa" - Southampton.

On September 21, 1930, the first catapult mail flight from the ship "Europa" to Southampton took place. Extremely rare. The cover bears the autograph of Baron Joachim von Studnitz, the catapult mail pilot on board the liner "Bremen."
