Special flight from Franz Josef Land to Archangelsk for the 2nd International Polar Year 1932 Two Russian airmail express stamps were issued for this flight. The flight probably did not take place and all stamps were affixed in Arkhangelsk. After onward carriage to Moscow with DERULUFT Moscow - Berlin Franz Josef Land - Arkhangelsk - Moscow - Berlin Postmark Franz Josef Land 26.8.1932 Arkhangelsk 28.8.1932 Arkhangelsk confirmation postmark Berlin C2 31.8.1932 Berlin MLb Special cancel Franz Josef Land ЗЕМЛЯ ФРАНЦА ИОСИФА Flight confirmation red triangular stamp: Second International / Polar Year 1932-33 / first polar flight 1932 ----------------------------------------- Sonderflug vom Franz-Josef-Land nach Archangelsk zum 2.
