Germany / WWII Occupations (1939-1945)

 A German military field post card (Feldpostkarte), sent during the early weeks of WWII, postmarked September 29, 1939, shortly after the invasion of Poland. The distinctive feature of this card is the rare postmark bearing a single three-digit identification number 198 which was used only at the beginning of the war.
