1942 German military Air Field Post from a soldier to the homefront. The soldier had, as indicated in the sender's field on the left and on the field post number postmark, the number 32805.

Based on the field post number, the sender was part of:
Unit: 6. Batterie / Schweres Werfer-Regiment 1 (6th Battery of the 1st Heavy Rocket Launcher Regiment).
This unit specialized in rocket artillery, famously known as "Nebelwerfer."
At the time this letter was sent, the unit was deployed on the Eastern Front under Army Group South (Heeresgruppe Süd).
They were engaged in heavy fighting in the Caucasus region (specifically near Nalchik and Vladikavkaz) during the German attempt to reach the Soviet oil fields.
