The letter transited the German Empire, transit stamp at the French border, Valenciennes, 7 December 1852. Transit stamp train Paris Bordeaux 7 December 1852. The letter arrived in Bordeaux on 8 December 1852. PD (French Post) stamp on the front of the envelope - Paye jusqu a la destination, which means "paid to destination"

1867 (22 Jun) cover international, From Kronstadt, to Pont-Rousseau, France, unpaid (rectangular postmark on the front of the envelope is not franked). Also on the front of the envelope, handwritten mark "11" is the amount of unpaid next to the Prussian accountancy mark 'P.38.' ('P.' means PRUSSIA), used on Prussian transit mail from Poland and Russia, with destination France (the uniform rate was 11 decimes (1.1 francs).
