Also on the front of the envelope, handwritten mark "11" is the amount of unpaid next to the Prussian accountancy mark 'P.38.' ('P.' means PRUSSIA), used on Prussian transit mail from Poland and Russia, with destination France (the uniform rate was 11 decimes (1.1 francs).

The envelope was (resealed) after inspection and sealed with a red wax seal with a Russian Imperial Eagle and the text "Petrograd Military Censorship." The letter arrived in Zurzach on June 5, 1915.
