1930 (29 Mar) Cover catapult mail from the ship "Europa", in Hirschberg im Riesengebirge (now Jelenia Góra, Poland), franked three 5pf, 10pf, and a pair of 25pf (Germany) cancelled with a special postmark of the ship's service "Deutsch-Amerikanische Bremen-New York Norddeutscher Lloyd D. Europa" and the postmark of the "Deutscher-Amerik. Seepost Bremen-New York" post office of the liner "Europa"

Germany / Weimar Republic (1919-1932)

It was accepted on the ship on 29 March 1930 and paid at the rate of 25pf for an international letter and an additional 50pf for a catapult flight. But sending by catapult mail did not take place, the postmark "Kein Katapultflug von D. Europa", which means "Flight with a catapult from D. Europa did not take" is black. Arrived in Berlin on 4 March 1930. The postmark of the place of receipt is missing. Extremely rare, "predecessor of catapult mail" postmarked "Catapult flight from D. Europa did not take"
