Cover of a local letter (review) sent by a peasant from a village of the volost of Minkovskaya (Миньковская волость) in the Totma district (Vologda province) to the administration of the district in the city of Totma which is the district capital. Franked with a black, blue, brick-red, yellowish-brown and gold 3-kopek Totma Zemstvo stamp (Schmidt #1, Chuchin 1a, issued in 1894), endorsed by pen and black ink in manuscript showing the date: June 9, 1894 (9 Июня 1894 г). There is no indication of the date of arrival in the city of Totma. The cover is a reuse of a printed paper. There is a wax seal on the reverse. Some stains and a central tear on reverse due to opening but still attractive and very rare. Ex-Fabergé. Bernard Furnon AIEP certificate
