1915 (5 May) censored international cover. From St. Petersburg to Zurzach (Switzerland). The cover is franked with a Semi-postal 1k (2k) and 7k (8k) and a 10k stamp, with a St. Petersburg postmark. On the back of the envelope is a purple stamp removed from a mailbox. The envelope was (resealed) after inspection and sealed with a red wax seal with a Russian Imperial Eagle and the text "Petrograd Military Censorship." The letter arrived in Zurzach on June 5, 1915.

Censorship wax seals were introduced in August–September 1914 and were used to seal valuable correspondence after it had been reviewed by the censor, as well as registered mail if censorship revealed that it contained various securities (bills of exchange, checks, cash receipts, tickets, etc.).
