Posted 18 December 1941 from the National Socialist German Workers Party, Gera District Administration to Parteigenossen (Party Member) Rudolf Otto Reust Schmolin in Thiiringen. Gera, a manufacturing town in central Germany with approximately 87,000 inhabitants in 1941, was the capital of the former principality of Reuss jiingere Linie (one of the Thuringian states that in 1920 formed the Freistaat Thiiringen). It is situated on the River Weisse Elster at an elevation of 620 feet.
