United States / Covers & Postcards

US 'Return to Writer / Unclaimed' framed handstamp on front.

An enthusiastic fisherman, Pickard (1871-1952) authored several books on the subject including 'Trout Fishing in New Zealand in Wartime' (1940).

The cover spent most of its 13 weeks transit in Cuba, where Pickard was probably off fishing somewhere at the time.
