Sent to Theodore Siddall (1867-1933), an American stenographer whose work brought him to Manila and eventually Shanghai, where he became one of the most prominent early foreign collectors of Chinese stamps.

Trivial faults but an extremely rare and probably unique foreign-mail routing of this envelope, including a 44-day transit of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, total distance of nearly 8,000 miles.
