Second World War: 1942 (May 27) Mailer Permit cover from Cuba to USA with 'Habana, Cuba Permiso No. 30' 3c Meter handstamp in red, overstruck with 'Habana, Cuba' slogan duplex. US 'Passed By Censor' straightline handstamp in red

Nondescript-looking but very rare usage and rate. The mailer's permit handstamp obviated any need for the additional duplex postmark, but a post office clerk, unfamiliar with Mailer Permit regulations, applied it anyway.
