1920 (23 Jun) BATUM Registered international mail, British occupation of Batum, Georgia (certificate of examination by Sergio Sismodo). From Batum to Alaverdi, Armenia. Franked with one 3-ruble stamp and three 5-ruble stamps (hand-overprinted on stamps by the British administration of Batum), canceled with the postmark of Batum. On the reverse side, under the stamps, is the signature of the examiner, Sergio Sismodo; the examination certificate is attached. The receipt postmark is missing.
