1942 (Apr 3) Germany, German Field Post in Africa, Cover with Palm handstamp from Tmimi to Berlin, Feldpost № 26711

Field post cover Front - Home with Field post handstamp and date 03.04.42
The sender was in the unit with the Feldpostnr.: 26711 = Staff Pi.Btl.900
At this time the engineer battalion was subordinated to the 90th le.Inf.Div "Marcks Combat Group" in the Tmimi area.
A so-called "Palm handstamp" was stamped off the front and back of the envelope.
These handstamps actually violated the regulation..... "no indication of the place of use" but this was tolerated by the troops of the Afrika Korps

unterstellt und bei der Kampfgruppe Marcks" im Bereich Tmimi.
Auf dem Briefumschlag wurde ein sogenannter „Palmenstempel" vorder- und ruckseitig abgeschlagen.
Diese Stempel verstie?en eigentlich gegen die Vorschrift..... "kein Hinweis auf den Einsatzort" dies wurde allerdings bei den Truppen des Afrikakorps toleriert
