1855 (17 Nov) International stamps cover. From St. Petersburg to Bordeaux (France). Paid (handwritten note on the envelope: "Porto"). The letter transited the German Empire, transit stamp at the French border, Valenciennes, 7 December 1852. Transit stamp train Paris Bordeaux 7 December 1852. The letter arrived in Bordeaux on 8 December 1852. PD (French Post) stamp on the front of the envelope - Paye jusqu a la destination, which means "paid to destination"

Also on the front of the envelope, handwritten mark "11" is the amount of unpaid next to the Prussian accountancy mark 'P.38.' ('P.' means PRUSSIA), used on Prussian transit mail from Poland and Russia, with destination France (the uniform rate was 11 decimes (1.1 francs).

The letter is franked with 10k, cancelled with the St. Petersburg postmark (the second type of experimental cancellation, "1" in the center). Received in Dorpat (Dorpat) on 2 June 1858, rectangular postmark on the back of the envelope. Rare - the second type of experimental cancellation was used from 19 February 1858 (the earliest known cancellation) until the end of September 1858.
