prisoner-of-war postcard sent by American soldier William C. Lawrence Prisoner No 30055 from Stalag II-B (Stammlager II-B), a German World War II prisoner-of-war camp located near Hammerstein, Pomerania (now Czarne, Poland) to Anderson, Indiana, USA.

The Postcard is marked as Gebührenfrei! (postage-free under the Geneva Convention).
A red 40-pfennig German Reich stamp featuring Adolf Hitler was added to cover the extra fee required for transport via air mail.
The Postcard is marked with U.S. CENSOR 12308, showing the card was inspected and cleared upon arrival in the United States.
